About Me

Growing up in Sunnyvale California (Silicon Valley) in the early 60’s during the space race it came as no surprise to anyone that Jerry became fascinated with space flight and science fiction. Especially since his father was an Aerospace Engineer working (at the time) for NASA at the AIMES research center (he was a Rocket scientist). Jerry learned his skills at building highly detailed scale tank and aircraft models and then progressed to model rocketry and model military scale aircraft competition and has continued that to this day.

Jerry is a Masters prepared, Critical Care Registered Nurse who is also a board certified Informatics Specialist, Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist and Information Technology Hospital Information system consultant. In his spare time he makes full sized RC movie robots, UAV’s (unmanned aerial vehicles) and likes to ride his motorcycles.

  1. How funny! I spent the 60s and 70s in San Jose, California and my dad, who was an engineer and “job shopper” did a few contracts at Nasa Ames research Center – he worked on the Space Shuttle.

  2. Hi Jerry , my name is John and I was wondering if you know of anyone who makes life-size B9 Robots for sale . I miss the boat on Mike Joyce’s B9’s when he was mass producing them.. I can’t seem to find anyone who builds them for potential clients .
I have an old B9 I bought 20 yrs. ago but he is a static prop that just lights up and talks … I want a animatronic one for my collection .
I would appreciate any help .. Thank you for your time … Sincerely ; John Kowall
