I need to replace the existing servos with T. Seiko servos for the neck and arm movement at the shoulder (very similar to how Geoff Petersons is setup on the Craig Ferguson Show) to aid in the animation of C3PO. I will only move the arms up a little but for the neck movement, regular servos just do not last so that will be my next modification. The flange bearings used will be necessary to distribute the loads and reduce wear and tear on the servos This is where I will have to make use of macro boards so I wont have to constantly man this droid to simulate realism, but with a flip of a switch I can change his routine to suit any change in situation. I will also need to articulate him at the waist so he can bend over or lean back with surprise to add to the realism. He should be a real big hit!!
